Attention - sea change in progress.
When Seth Godin speaks, wise microISVs listen. Seth’s latest post make a simple, compelling point:
People that would never read a 200 page book will happily watch a three minute video. Here’s a page with a dozen or so videos to get you started.
Seth’s right - video is by far the most convincing way of remotely talking with people. And definitely check out the page Seth make at Squidoo for these video - Squidoo is another sea change microISVs need to be aware of.

Eddy - those points are true enough - everything has exceptions, but they *are* the exceptions.
And a lot depends on the presenter - whatever you may think of Steve Jobs, 3 minutes of him passionate on a subject is worth a 200 page discourse any day of the week.

I don’t think he is completely right and it’s not fair to compare 200 pages with 3 minutes video. Maybe you can compare 200 pages with 90 minutes movie, or a 3 minutes video with a flyer or 1 page.
I don’t see any video because it takes to long to download (with my internet conection) and I can’t “scan” it the way I do with text.
If the text (with graphics) is well written and formatted will beat any video.
