Welcome to 47Hats, a consulting firm and blog dedicated to helping microISVs and startups succeed. My name is Bob Walsh (bob.walsh@47hats.com), and I believe that microISVs are the future of the global software industry, and the future of the billion-person Internet we are all connected to now. In fact, I believe this so strongly I’ve written a book for developers who want to start their own microISVs, Micro-ISV: From Vision to Reality; co-moderate a rather large forum, Joel on Software’s Business of Software; was cohost of the late The MicroISV Show on Channel 9 and am the founder and chief bottle washer of a microISV, Safari Software, Inc.

February 13, 2008: Relaunched 47hats today with a new theme, new content and a renewed commitment to helping microISVs succeed.

December 17th, 2007: I could not resist jumping on Solostream Studio’s awesome WordPress Magazine Theme as part of my get ready for 2008 drive this month. Thanks again to Michael Pollock for creating such a cool WP theme.

December 13th, 2007: My first ebook for microISVs is nearly ready, Project X is rolling along, and the startups I’ve been consulting with on how to define and implement blogging strategy are happy. Expect some major makeover changes to this site soon.

July 12th, 2007: As part of gearing up to offer microISVs my services as a consultant, mymicroISV.com has changed to 47hats.com. Over the next few weeks I will be rolling out more information about how I can help your microISV succeed, updating 47hats.com with new information and resources microISVs will find useful and announcing 47hats.com’s first ebook for microISVs!
